New York State High School Mock Trial Tournament in Nassau County

Welcome to another year of mock trial! The New York State Bar Association’s 2022-2023 NY Statewide High School Mock Trial Tournament is happening! The million-dollar question is, will it again be virtual or back to in-person?  The answer is IN PERSON!!!!

Nassau County Tournament Dates

2023 Mock Trial Case 

This competition will be held in person at Nassau Supreme Court in Mineola beginning at approximately 4:30PM. You should allow for travel time to get to there. More details on the competition itself will follow as we get closer to February, including pairings once the registrations are all received. We will be staging you in the Central Jury Room upon your arrival. It is imperative that all mandates within the courthouse are followed to the letter as we rely on the courthouse and the staff there to host our competition.

There is a $250 fee to participate in the county tournament here in Nassau as we have to pay court officer time for use of the Courthouse. Please note that while prompt payment is preferred, the deadline to submit payment is April 30, 2023 but this will NOT preclude your school from competing in the Mock Trial tournament.

The State Finals in Albany will be held May 21-23, health conditions permitting.
