“In February 2023, the NCBA Long Island Legal Diversity Fellowship Program (LILDFP) entered its fourth year placing diverse law students at prestigious Long Island law firms. The NCBA Diversity and Inclusion Committee partners with career services personnel from Hofstra, St. John’s, and Touro law schools to identify strong candidates for these coveted summer associate positions. Members of the NCBA D&I Committee work with candidates to prepare them to interview with participating firms by hosting an interview skills panel and conducting mock interviews. Following the interview process, members of the D&I committee recommend ten students for placement at the firms, who pay summer associate salaries. To date three law students from this program have secured post-graduate employment at Cullen and Dykman, Jackson Lewis, and Moritt Hock & Hamroff. The NBCA remains committed to promoting diversity in the legal profession.”
